about

We play music because we love it — performance is one of the great joys of our lives! Founded in 2007, the Aurora Guitar Ensemble has become one Australia’s newest and most exciting groups, renowned for their musical energy and sensitivity. Comprising 25 players, the Aurora Guitar Ensemble meet fortnightly, directed by Dr Paul Svoboda who often composes works especially for their talents. With a repertoire ranging from the Renaissance period to Contemporary times, Aurora loves to showcase the amazing potential and versatility of the classical guitar ensemble. We hope you enjoy the Aurora Guitar Ensemble’s debut recording — Every Second Tuesday.
